Moving swiftly through the shadows of the night
Searching for prey that will put up a fight
The more they struggle, the greater the thrill
And the longer he'll take to end the kill

Is that a creaking you think you can hear
Or is your brain playing tricks as your heart pumps with fear
There's definitely a sound coming from behind
And you slowly turn round to see what you find

As she goes to scream he grabs her round the throat
Then leans over quickly and hits the telly remote
The screen flickers on and he pumps the volume high
As tears roll down her face and she begins to cry

Panic sets in as he squeezes you tighter
You're fighting for your life as your head grows lighter
You stamp on his foot and he loosens his grip
Then you smash back your head into his lip

As the pain surges through his mouth and toes
His adrenalin pumps and his excitement grows
He's toying with his prey like a cat does a mouse,
Giving her hope she'll escape this house

Instinct kicks in and you struggle for your life
Breaking free into the kitchen you grab a knife
Waving it about wildly in the direction of the door
The terror builds inside as your heart pounds more

He admires her spirit and her fighting heart
He's going to enjoy tearing them apart
Watching her thrash that knife to defend
A pointless life that is coming to an end

Your chest is pounding like it's about to explode
You need to find a way out of your abode
With knife in hand you bolt for the back door
But before you reach it you're on the floor

As she makes a run you pounce with ease
Bringing her down with a blow to the knees
She's flailing about frantically trying to escape
As you grab her neck plunging knife into nape

The pain surges through you like a tidal wave
Your life force slipping closer to it's grave
Your movement ceases as the spinal cord snaps
And there's no escape now as you just collapse

You turn her over so you can see her face
As her blood slowly spreads all over the place
Enjoying the moment as you slice her skin
Now this is when your fun will really begin

You're powerless to resist as the blood seeps away
And the energy inside you doesn't want to stay
The pain has numbed you as he starts using his knife
To cut you apart and end your life

You're trying to control the excitement and rage
While peeling back skin to expose rib cage
Bones a cracking as you snap them apart
To now reveal a once beating heart

Mission accomplished as he removes his prize
He feels fulfilled when someone dies
Now the Shadow Man leaves his room of death
Disappearing into the night like a wisp of breath
