Down in the Park

Down in the park were the piano man plays

Is where the body of my true love decays

Under the bushes all over grown with time

Roots feeding off the corpse they entwine

Sucking the essence of a life expired

Leafs whisper the name I once desired

Echoes of your demise mingle in the wind

Shadows re-enact the scene as he sinned

I despised the attention she gave to you

Her demise at my hands long overdue

How could you love this woman of sin

Her fuck me eyes and perfect skin

It's our body and I don't share

It made me sick, your elicit affair

You're part of me, you can never leave

Those foolish thoughts you were naive

Now she lies down in the park

Under the bushes I planted to mark
